Lady Jackets Prevail Over Shawnee State in Tight Match

The Cedarville volleyball team ­­­defeated Shawnee State in a tightly contested match, beating the Bears in five sets on Saturday afternoon. The Jackets ­­­won two of three on this week's home stand. Shawnee State entered the afternoon with a record of 9-5. The Jackets broke their losing skid Thursday night and were hoping to build momentum heading into conference play. The Cedarville women’s soccer team lost their second consecutive game this afternoon, falling to G-MAC opponent Kentucky Wesleyan 2-1 at home. Cedarville fell behind early, giving up a goal in the 11th minute off a deflected shot. The Cedarville men’s soccer team got their first conference win of the season tonight, shutting out Kentucky Wesleyan University 1-0. Cedarville controlled the ball in the first half, spending most of the time in Kentucky Wesleyan’s defensive third of the field, taking five shots to the Panther’s one.
