The Yellow Jackets lost a tough game on homecoming Saturday to the Fighting Scots from Ohio Valley 1-0.

The Fighting Scots only goal of the game came off a penalty kick in the 73rd minute of the game on a hand ball in the penalty area.

Ohio Valley did a great job moving the ball and creating opportunities against Cedarville. They outshot Cedarville 11-2, including four shots on goal to one.

The Yellow Jackets were also without three of their players, including the team’s leading scorer Connor Gilmour. Gilmour, Aaron Plummer, and John Schwien were all out due to illness.

Ohio Valley is currently first in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) with a 8-3 record. The Yellow Jackets fell to a 4-5-1 record and are third in the conference.

The Yellow Jackets will look to rebound in their next game against conference opponent Davis & Elkins. Davis & Elkins defeated Cedarville in their first matchup this season 3-1.
