Cedarville alumnus Brian Johnson’s live performance on NBC’s “The Voice” Tuesday received praise from the four coaches.
“Brian, gosh man, you just keep getting better every time you get on that stage,” coach Blake Shelton said. “You’re a perfect vocalist. You’re a perfect vocalist.”
Coach Adam Levine chose Billy Vera’s “At This Moment,” an emotion-packed, dramatic song, for Johnson to perform.
“I’m allowing the emotion to really overtake you,” Levine said.
“At this Moment” we could not love @BWJohnsonMusic more as he saaangs this @billybeater song. #VoicePlayoffs

Johnson joined #TeamBlake after the Blind Auditions, but was “stolen” by #TeamAdam in the Knockout Round when Shelton let Johnson go. Johnson performed with #TeamAdam Tuesday night.
“This is my moment and this is my opportunity to show that I’m a serious contender here,” Johnson said.
And as Johnson’s performance left the crowd cheering, coach Christina Aguilera said the emotion poured through.
“You really just kind of left your heart on the floor,” she said. “It was so sweet. I loved it.”
Coaches Pharrell Williams and Levine said Johnson’s performance showed that he engages his audience – through expressing himself and entertaining his audience.
