Injury-riddled Lady Jackets fall on Senior Day

A gloomy senior day at Callan Athletic Center featured a runaway loss to Trevecca Nazarene while all three Jacket seniors sat sidelined by injuries.
The Lady Jackets’ season took its first blow in the third game of the year when senior Anne Wheeler suffered a season-ending injury. And when Lydia Sweeney and Makenna Fee joined her on the injury list, Cedarville just didn’t have enough firepower left.

The Cedarville women’s basketball team lost 95-55 to Kentucky Wesleyan on Thursday night.
The Lady Jackets moved to 5-19 on the season.
Kentucky Wesleyan (18-5, 13-4) moved the ball well and shot efficiently. Four players scored at least 15 points.
Cedarville’s Brianna Zajicek led all scorers with 19 points, and finished a rebound shy of a double-double.
The Lady Jackets will celebrate senior day this Saturday at 1 p.m. against Trevecca Nazarene.

Lady Jackets stumble in final 3 minutes against OCU

The Cedarville Lady Jackets faltered against Ohio Christian University in a 79-75 loss.
Cedarville fell to 2-5 on the season, while the Trailblazers, who compete in the NAIA, improved to 6-2.
