G-MAC Releases Spring Sports Schedules

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) released the schedules for three fall sports originally slated to play this semester. Men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball were all pushed to the spring as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the soccer season draws to a close, the focus shifts onto the next challenge: the postseason. For the Cedarville men, the future is bright.
The Yellow Jackets head into the last four games of the season with a record of 9-2-6 and 6-2-5 in conference play. The Cedarville men are also in third place in the G-MAC conference, behind only Ohio Valley and Lake Erie. The guys have high expectations around them, and they hope to live up to them.

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets battled to a 1-1 draw Thursday night, rallying back from one goal down against the visiting Ohio Valley Fighting Scots. After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, and nearly conceding again before halftime, the Yellow Jackets were able to salvage a point following the conversion of a penalty kick in the second half.

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets earned their first notch in the win column on Saturday night, defeating the California (PA) Vulcans 4-0. After a disappointing start against Slippery Rock on Thursday, the Cedarville men looked like a different team against the Vulcans. The Cedarville Yellow Jackets were defeated by Ohio Dominican 2-1 on Tuesday evening. The game marked the end of the regular season, with Cedarville finishing 11-5-2 on the year.
With the loss, Cedarville dropped out of first place in the conference. The Tiffin Dragons heed the first seed for the tournament, awarding them hosting rights in the semi-finals and finals.

The Cedarville men’s soccer team (9-4-2) snatched a win over Alderson Broaddus University (5-8-2) in a high-stakes G-MAC clash on Cystic Fibrosis night Saturday. The match ended 2-1 in favor of the Jackets, extending their unbeaten streak to seven and their win streak to three.

The Cedarville men's soccer team upset No. 6-ranked Ohio Valley Scots 1-0 on Saturday evening. The match was a big win for the team, as Ohio Valley sports a talented squad. However, their talent was not enough to out the Jackets.

Young Players Could Help Cedarville Men’s Soccer

A new school year brings a new season for the Cedarville men’s soccer team. This year the team brings more maturity and experience to the table as they plan to win the G-MAC this year and improve on their 12-8-3 record from last year.

On a rainy senior night on Tuesday, the Jackets graduated eight seniors and won 4-3 against the Mercyhurst Lakers in the first overtime.
