Brian Johnson ’12 moves onto the final round of NBC’s “The Voice” after a favorable performance Tuesday night. The Live Performance Shows – the final round – will begin at 8 p.m. Monday on NBC.
Johnson is one of 12 contestants moving on. Coach Adam Levine chose Johnson as the third member of his team to move to the final round.
Two contestants from each team were chosen by America’s votes cast earlier in the week – through phone, song purchases on iTunes and online voting methods – and the third contestant of each team was chosen by the team’s coach.
Each team performed live together before the team’s results were announced, which got the crowd cheering. Johnson and his teammates performed the song “Diamonds.”
Put your shades on because #TeamAdam is shining bright like “Diamonds” rn. #VoiceResults

In a recap of Johnson’s performances on “The Voice,” Levine said Johnson could win this season of “The Voice.”
“Do I think that Brian has the voice that can win this?” Levine said. “Absolutely.”
But when it came time to choose the third member of his team, Levine struggled to give an answer. Levine said he decided to go with his “gut,” and he chose Johnson – to Johnson’s complete surprise.
