Suspect arrested for NY and NJ Bombings
Ahmad Khan Rahami was taken into custody on Sept. 19th after exchanging gunfire with police and was charged on Sept. 20 for the bombings in New York and New Jersey that occurred on Sept. 17. He has been charged with five counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, as well as two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Preparing for Reaccreditation a Huge Task
With the school’s 10-year accreditation status coming to a close this year, Cedarville faculty and staff are working together to prepare for re-accreditation.
This semester, on Oct. 10 and 11, reviewers will arrive on campus from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), the nationally recognized major regional accreditor for Cedarville and other schools in the area, including Ohio State University.

Candidates to Face Off in First Presidential Debate
The first presidential debate of the 2016 election season will be hosted by Hofstra University at 9 p.m. EST on Sept. 26. The debate will mark the first occasion presidential candidates Donald Trump (R) and Hillary Clinton (D) face one another in a live, open forum.

New Student Talent Show
The Cedarville Opera House was filled with noise, and no, it was not another play or concert. On Friday Sept. 16, Cedarville’s freshman class came out for the annual New Student Talent Show.

Lady Jackets Take Home Opener
The Lady Jackets won their home opener against Findlay Tuesday night by a score of 3-1. Findlay took the first set, 25-23, and Cedarville took the last three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-14, and 25-23. It is Cedarville’s ninth straight victory, improving their overall record to 9-2.

CU Jackets Volleyball Home Opener
The Lady Jackets emerge victorious against the University of Findlay at CU's annual Volleyball Home Opener on Tuesday, Sept. 20. This event is one of the biggest volleyball events in NCAA DII, said Doug Walters, head coach of the women's volleyball team, and the entire student body was encouraged to attend.
The first 1,000 to attend were given a free T-shirt at the end of the event.
