Every year for Veterans Day, Cedarville University hosts a special chapel to recognize and thank veterans for their service.

First grader Hunter Johnson leads the gathering in the Pledge of Allegiance. Johnson is the grandson of senior professor of Biblical studies, Dr. Chris Miller, and the great-grandson of veteran fighter pilot Earl Miller.

The trio ends their performance with a salute that evoked excited applause from the crowd.

Hopefully the ceremony and stories of veterans will encourage many of the able-bodied young men in the audience that day to do at least one tour in one of the armed forces. The Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard need Christians and we have a duty.
