A disjointed Cedarville offense could not overcome a scrappy Walsh defense as the Lady Jackets fell in their season opener 3-0 to the Cavaliers. It was the first time G-MAC volleyball had been played in 427 days after their season was pushed to the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Cedarville went on some late runs, though were still unable to take the lead from the dominate Cavaliers. The Lady Jackets were led by senior Liene Miller with 11 kills. Senior Lauren ...

But that’s not quite enough for our ...

Despite the bright atmosphere and vibrancy that comes with the ‘80s setting, the film pales in comparison to its predecessor. While it lacks any glaring flaws and kept me engaged, there were many points throughout the movie where I wish there had been just a bit more substance.
In terms of ...

by Sam Acosta
[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”]
“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” an adaptation of August Wilson’s stage play, made me feel the emotion of almost every character and left me thinking about its themes long after I watched it. Director George C. Wolfe brings together an amazing cast, with every actor and actress playing their roles perfectly and making each character memorable.
However, this movie also left me ...

The film begins with Ray, a freshman attending Clemson University, being recruited as a safety to the Clemson football team, the Tigers. Early on, Ray struggles to balance his time between academics, sports, and his ...

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets got back in the win column Thursday night with a 69-56 road victory against Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Only two days after having one of their worst offensive games in years, the Yellow Jackets were able to rebound and capitalize on plenty of shot opportunities.
