Cedarville won in four sets on Thursday night, leveling the Jackets’ G-MAC record at 5-5, while Kentucky Wesleyan dropped to 4-17 (2-8).
The Yellow Jackets narrowly won the first set, then dropped the second, but stormed back to capture the final two sets 25-10 and 25-16.
Janae Heegaard led Cedarville with 16 kills, and Cassi Shields tacked on five aces.
The win comes at a great time for Cedarville, snapping a four-game losing streak and kicking off a busy weekend in the right way. Cedarville hosts Malone on Friday night, and undefeated Walsh on Saturday night with a massive opportunity to climb back up the standings.
Currently standing at 10-11 on the year, Cedarville will seek to come out of the weekend on the right side of .500.
