The Cedarville men’s basketball team bested Southwest Baptist 85-64 via a second half scoring frenzy in front of a packed crowd for the home opener.
The teams entered the locker room tied at halftime 33-33, but Cedarville won the second half 52-31.
Senior Jayvon Maughmer led the way for the Yellow Jackets scoring 22 points on 8/10 shooting, and snagging eight rebounds. Freshman Tymoteusz Pszczola came off the bench to score 18 points on 7/12 shooting. Pszczola finished second in points for the Jackets despite only playing 19 minutes.
The Don Callan Classic continues on Saturday, November 18 as Cedarville faces Purdue Northwest, and and Southwest Baptist plays Ashland.
