‘The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim’ brings deep-cut Tolkien to life
By Janie Walenda
This review contains spoilers for “The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim”
Confession time: fantasy isn’t really my thing. While I enjoy it, it’s not something that I get invested in or seek out. It’s entirely possible that my apathy towards fantasy is an attempt to balance my brother’s obsession with it, especially when it comes to J. R. R. Tolkien’s work.
He’s read every book, brought the Silmarillion on our five-day vacation and, as I write, is ...

What is “Arcane” about? Its sprawling plot lines and interwoven character arcs make it difficult to pin down. But the answer to this question is pivotal for both the highlights and the letdowns of “Arcane’s” final act.
When I asked my brother what “Arcane” was about before he watched season two, his answer focused on the conflict between Piltover and Zaun. This conflict, mirroring ...

To close the conference, a brand-new prayer night event offered students a place to reflect and talk to God about the present and future state of the mission field.

With six points for Ursuline and not a single point on the board for the Jackets, the preceding game looked rough. Yet, the Yellow Jackets locked in, sealing a victory in the face of a back-and-forth match.
From the beginning, the Jackets were confused, barely moving on offense and missing shots. A scarcely noticeable crowd played no role in boosting the ...
Missed Opportunities: Cedarville falls to Malone in a nail-biter
By Emily Tuttle
Fighting back and forth with only seconds remaining, Cedarville utilized their timeouts to draw up plays and substitute the right player for each scenario. Their game plan was intact, but their failure to secure defensive rebounds allowed this plan to slip out of their fingers on a night when Cedarville narrowly fell to Malone University, 59-57.
The Cedarville Men’s Basketball team (7-5) lost a physical battle to Malone (5-8) despite holding the lead for over half the ...
