Stinger adds three unidentifiable yellow jackets to his cohort

By Aubrie Rickett

Stinger isn’t the only yellow jacket on Cedarville’s campus operating under disguise. Somewhere, three mysterious creatures known as “The Babylon Yellow Jacket,” “The Other Babylon Yellow Jacket” and “The Real Babylon Yellow Jacket” observe the activities of Cedarville’s campus and subject unsuspecting professors and students to satire on their website, The Babylon Yellow Jacket.

The exact nature of these writers is unknown, as they take extreme lengths to protect those identities. When asked to provide anonymous answers for an interview, they declined to respond lest any information slip out unintentionally. Yet, according to “A Brief Introduction” as published on their website on January 8, 2026, they do, in fact, “live on this campus.”

The Babylon Yellow Jacket takes its inspiration from The Babylon Bee, a conservative news source that satirizes “Christian stuff, political stuff and everyday life.” The Babylon Yellow Jacket largely focuses on Cedarville culture and avoids political content. Based on the archive section, The Babylon Yellow Jacket began just this year in early January. The authors have published a total of 18 articles so far.

Sample headlines include “$3000 Bounty on Freshmen Couple Who Were Holding Hands” and “Hot Air Balloon to Replace Cedarville Water Tower.” Many students will appreciate the article, “Cedarville University Student Faints Due to Mild Heat Stroke,” which pokes fun at Cedarville’s brutally cold winter climates.

Even Cedarville guests cannot escape the eyes of The Babylon Yellow Jacket cohort. Their most recent article, “Color of Bill Boulet’s Shirt in Dispute,” covers the story of an alleged discrepancy in the color of chapel speaker Bill Boulet’s shirt in comparison with the color of his shirt on the projector. The authors conclude that students of the psychology department purposefully changed the hue of Pastor Boulet’s shirt on the screen to “observe the reactions of the student body.”

We currently have no leads as to the physical whereabouts of these yellow jackets. However, yellow jackets do live in nests, so most likely Stinger and the Babylon colony reside together. If any student happens to find a hidden yellow jacket nest, please report immediately.

The Babylon Yellow Jacket is active online, though, through their website https://www.thebabylonyellowjacket.com/ where they share all of their satirical pieces for the public to enjoy. They also maintain a social media presence on their Instagram page, @babylonjacket.
