The night opened the Faculty and Staff tournament. The Blue Team took the court first, sporting well-known figures of CU such as Dr. Jeremy Kimble (Professor of Theology) and Dr. Jason Lee (Dean of the School of Biblical and Theological studies).

The White Team also included familiar faces, some of whom had not played last year, such as Lawlor RD Nick Boucher.

Resident cheer director, senior Vinny Morrone, leads the crowd in his classic J-A-C-K-E-T-S cheer. Morrone now leads CU’s new cheer squad, the Swarm, CU sporting events.

The 2017-18 Lady Jackets basketball team is introduced. Sophomore Jamie Dodane brings along her bowl of cereal.

The CU cheer squad hypes the crowd during the ladies’ skirmish.

Halfway through the game, the Lady Jackets broke out in the Cupid Shuffle. When the song ended, they returned to the game.

Junior Robert Okoro of the men’s team takes the court. After the ladies, the 2017-18 Yellow Jackets men’s team was introduced and played their own skirmish.

The goal was to make 50 baskets in a number of seconds. The men reached exactly fifty just as the buzzer went off, with the ladies following close behind with 46 baskets.

Director Ed Supplee leads the CU Pep Band, the “heart of Cedarville’s sporting events,” said the announcer.

Freshman Quinton Green beams with pride as his teammates surround him following his success in the dunking challenge, the final event of the night. Winning the dunking contest issomewhat viewed as a high mark of achievement for the CU men’s basketball team.

As the night officially comes to a close, junior Grant Zawadski drags Coach Moore onto the court and leads the crowds in singing to him for his “21st” birthday.
