The Cedarville Yellow Jackets were defeated by the Hillsdale Chargers 74-66 Thursday evening in Cedarville's first conference game of the season.. The Jackets drop to 0-1 in the G-MAC, but there were some silver-linings to take away.
The top scorers for Cedarville were Branden Maughmer (19 points), Conner TenHove (18 points), and Kollin Van Horn (18 points). The Yellow Jackets totaled 27 rebounds in the losing effort and shot a respectable 50 percent from the field.

Callan Athletic Center was the place to be Friday night as the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team (2-1) defeated the Campbellsville University-Somerset Tigers, 112-69 in the 2018 Don Callan Classic. The crowd got what they came for, with dunks, technical fouls and an appearance from the “Towel Gang.”

Cedarville Loses in Exhibition With Akron

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets battled the Division I Akron Zips in an exhibition on Tuesday night, and the Zips pulled away from Cedarville in the second half to win, 70-50.
While the game will not count against Cedarville's record, the win for Akron gives the Zips one in the win column, as the matchup counted as Akron's season-opener.

Cedarville shot 59 percent from the 3-point line and scored 47 bench points to get the win against Alderson Broaddus on Saturday, 87-77.

The Cedarville men’s and women’s basketball teams each lost their leading scorers less than a week apart in the first week of February.
Patrick Bain, a senior guard who led the team in points per game (21.7), assists per game (3.5), blocks (13), and steals (24), was on pace to win G-MAC Player of the Year. Bain tore his ACL with just over a minute to play in a win over Ohio Valley on Jan. 27.
