Cedarville Earns First-Ever Bid to NCAA Division II Tournament

The Cedarville men’s basketball team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament for the first time in school history.
“I am grateful to God for this opportunity and thrilled for our program,” head coach Pat Estepp said. “This group has put in the hard work and sacrifice to get to this point and they have a lot to be proud of.”

No. 6 seed Cedarville fell just short of a G-MAC conference championship for the second consecutive year on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 76-62 result to No. 1 Walsh.

The No. 6 seed Cedarville Yellow Jackets pulled off an impressive 68-66 upset to stun No. 2 Hillsdale in a G-MAC semifinal matchup Friday night. The Cedarville men’s basketball team recovered from a sluggish first half to pull away for an 83-62 win against non-conference opponent Wilberforce Saturday night.

The Cedarville men’s basketball team saw its three-game win streak snapped Monday night after falling to Lake Erie 86-83.
The Jackets are now 13-9 overall and 9-6 in G-MAC play.
