Cedars Basketball Awards
Here is the list of seven awards given by the Cedars sports staff to honor the most significant players on Cedarville’s men’s and women’s basketball teams. Each award is given to the most deserving player, with one award handed out. Players from both the men’s and women’s rosters were selected as finalists, with one winner for each award, other than the All-Cedarville First Team.

Lady Jackets Season Over as NCCAA Cancels National Tournament

The NCCAA announced yesterday that it has canceled its women's basketball national tournament. The tournament, that was supposed to take place next week, included the Cedarville Lady Jackets.
The cancellation, to no surprise, is due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. In a release, the NCCAA said it hopes to "mitigate the further spread of COVID-19." Cancellations are sweeping the nation in light of the outbreak, as professional leagues are suspending play and college ...

Homecourt advantage will likely be a moot aspect of basketball for the coming weeks with the spread of the coronavirus.
Luckily for the Cedarville Lady Jackets, they didn't need fans as they beat Roberts Wesleyan in an empty gym to open the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament on Wednesday evening, 92-62. The Lady Jackets took control of the game in the second half, blowing out Roberts Wesleyan 65-25 in the final 20 minutes.

Cedarville University tonight announced the NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament it is hosting tomorrow (and Thursday if necessary) will be played without fans in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. In an email sent to Cedarville University staff, faculty, and students, the athletic department revealed the decision was made in response to a recommendation made by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (19-7, 12-5 G-MAC) suffered a second heartbreaking loss to Findlay (16-11, 12-5 G-MAC) 64-56 on Wednesday night which was Senior Night for the seniors. In the two team’s last meeting this season, Cedarville fell just 70-67.

There was no shortage of energy as the Callan Athletic Center rocked harder than it has all season for the Cedarville Lady Jackets on Thursday evening. Even with the buzz, Cedarville fell to Malone in a nail-biter, 81-74. The loss was Cedarville's first at home in 33 regular season games.

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (15-5, 8-3 G-MAC) played a fun game of basketball Thursday evening when they took down the Trevecca Trojans (7-13, 4-7 G-MAC) 77-41, ending their four-game winning streak. The Jackets are now on a four-game win streak; 9-0 at home in the midst of a five-game homestand.
