Lady Jackets Pinned Sixth in NCAA Division II Midwest Region

The Cedarville Lady Jackets were ranked sixth in the Midwest Region in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Regional Rankings that were released today. Cedarville (17-4, 14-4 G-MAC) is the highest ranked team among G-MAC members.
"I think that's an awesome recognition," head coach Kari Hoffman said. "I think these ladies have deserved it. We've been probably the most consistent team in the G-MAC so far. We need to uphold our end of the deal now to finish out our season."

The Cedarville men’s and women’s basketball teams each lost their leading scorers less than a week apart in the first week of February.
Patrick Bain, a senior guard who led the team in points per game (21.7), assists per game (3.5), blocks (13), and steals (24), was on pace to win G-MAC Player of the Year. Bain tore his ACL with just over a minute to play in a win over Ohio Valley on Jan. 27.

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets (10-10, 5-8 G-MAC) suffered a gut-wrenching loss to Malone on Tuesday night in overtime, 84-82. The loss drops Cedarville to ninth place in the conference, leaving them out of the G-MAC Conference Tournament at this point.

Regina Hochstetler scored 26 points and notched 1,000 in her career in a 83-62 win over Malone on Tuesday evening. The junior helped lead the Cedarville Lady Jackets (17-3, 12-2 G-MAC) to a wire-to-wire victory.
