The Lady Jackets won their home opener against Findlay Tuesday night by a score of 3-1. Findlay took the first set, 25-23, and Cedarville took the last three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-14, and 25-23. It is Cedarville’s ninth straight victory, improving their overall record to 9-2. CU Jackets Volleyball Home Opener

The Lady Jackets emerge victorious against the University of Findlay at CU's annual Volleyball Home Opener on Tuesday, Sept.  20. This event is one of the biggest volleyball events in NCAA DII, said Doug Walters, head coach of the women's volleyball team, and the entire student body was encouraged to attend. Cedarville Men’s Soccer tied Trevecca in a conference matchup for their home opener Thursday night 1-1 after double overtime. The teams faced off during constant rain and the wet conditions that forced each team to play more physical and defensive. The Lady Jackets pulled through on an overtime goal to defeat Trevecca Nazarene 1-0 in the second overtime Thursday. Freshman Hannah Atkinson netted a goal into the left corner with two and a half minutes left to win the game. For the amount of time Cedarville’s women’s 4x800-meter relay team has been running, it’s members have accomplished quite a bit. It’s a young team. Olivia Esbenshade is the only junior, while Carsyn Koch, Carly Rose and Sarah Hoffman are all sophomores. Sophomore Mariah Cruise recently broke the Cedarville women's track and field team shot put record, but she said she does not want to be known just for her success on the field. “I definitely want others to see me as being humble and using my talents for God,” Cruise said. This season, sophomore runner Daniel Michalski broke the school record in the mile, and he and junior runner Wyatt Hartman have set conference records in the 3,000 meters and the 800 meters, respectively. The Cedarville Yellow Jackets swept a doubleheader against the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots. The Jackets won the first game, 7-6, and the second game, 7-0. In the first game, which lasted seven innings, both teams had 11 hits each. Catcher Jaden Cleland, a junior, had three of Cedarville’s hits. The Cedarville baseball team won both games of a doubleheader against Oakland City on a very windy Saturday, April 2, 3-2 and 4-2. In the team's first home game of the season, the Yellow Jackets baseball team fell to the University of Findlay. The visitors broke a 7-7 tie in the sixth and pulled away to win, 12-9.
