Swimming has finally come to Cedarville’s campus, in the form of a club team – the Cedarville Swim Club. Sophomore Stephanie Huyser spearheaded the birth of the new sport at Cedarville. Huyser, a sophomore early childhood education major, said she wanted to start a club team immediately upon getting to Cedarville. The Cedarville men’s basketball team dominated visiting Wilberforce tonight with a barrage of offense and a mix up of defenses. The Yellow Jackets opened the game with a 12-3 run led by Marcus Reineke’s 10 points off three 3-pointers, one of which was an and-one. The Lady Jackets basketball team defeated a scrappy Wilberforce squad at home Jan. 11. The final score was 87-57. The Jackets used a big first half run to take control of the game. With the score standing at 21-16 with seven minutes to go, their charge was fueled by man-to-man defense. The Jackets' defense made second chance points nearly impossible for Wilberforce by grabbing important rebounds.
