The Cedarville University rugby team lost their first match of the season to Wittenberg University on Sept. 14. They battled for 80 minutes, with Wittenberg coming out on top, 24-12. Reese Leads Cedarville to Second Place Finish

Jordan Reese, a freshman from Cedarville, didn’t waste any time making his presence felt for the Yellow Jackets golf team. Reese shot a 2-under 70 on the final day of the tournament. His score helped the Yellow Jackets finish second at their home tournament held in Beavercreek Sept. 9 and 10. Senior Jacob Nafziger finished tied for third place. The Yellow Jacket men's soccer team defeated Malone University 4-0 in the second outing of the 2013 season on Saturday, Sept.7. Cedarville was in control and dominated possession throughout the game. They scored quickly when Timmy Waller, a senior forward for the Yellow Jackets, put the ball in the net just 11 minutes in. Cedarville Men’s Soccer Team Opens Season With Draw

Cedarville men’s soccer team opened their 2013 season with a draw against the University of Southern Indiana the evening of Sept. 5. The Yellow Jackets outshot Southern Indiana and maintained better possession of the ball for the duration of the game. However, both Cedarville and Southern Indiana were unable to put the ball in the goal throughout the 110 minutes of play, leaving the scoreboard blank.
