A disjointed Cedarville offense could not overcome a scrappy Walsh defense as the Lady Jackets fell in their season opener 3-0 to the Cavaliers. It was the first time G-MAC volleyball had been played in 427 days after their season was pushed to the spring due to the coronavirus pandemic.

G-MAC Releases Spring Sports Schedules

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) released the schedules for three fall sports originally slated to play this semester. Men’s soccer, women’s soccer, and volleyball were all pushed to the spring as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cedarville head coach Greg Smith said after last night's ugly loss to Kentucky Wesleyan, the Lady Jackets better come ready to play on Saturday. While it was in the third set before the Lady Jackets woke up, they knocked off Trevecca in five sets thanks to a backward sweep.

A scrappy Kentucky Wesleyan team took down the Cedarville Lady Jackets in straight sets with scores of 25-23, 25-10 and 25-15. The Cedarville Lady Jackets didn't practice yesterday, but it didn't seem to phase them as they rolled over Urbana in a non-conference affair, sweeping the Knights with relative ease.

The Lady Jackets volleyball team swept the Findlay University Oilers Friday night in their first home game in five weeks to extend their win streak to five games. The scores of 25-21, 25-20 and 25-17 were full of intensity and excitement from the team and their home crowd alike. The Jackets remain at the top of the G-MAC as they are unbeaten in the conference.

Long volleys and scrappy play were the name of the game in Cedarville volleyball’s final game of the 2019 Cedarville University Invite in which they were handed a 3-2 loss to the University of Indianapolis. It was a hard fought battle by both teams with scores of 25-18, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25 and 9-15. The Jackets now have a record of 1-2.

The Cedarville Lady Jackets suffered a disappointing loss to the Anderson (SC) Trojans in front of a monster crowd on Friday night, losing 28-26, 25-18, and 25-20. Cedarville falls to 1-1 on the season after beating Northwood to open their season at the Cedarville University Invite.
