A global pandemic doesn’t normally lend itself to a fun basketball season.
But for the Cedarville women’s basketball team, this season was one for the books despite all the challenges. The Lord was faithful and kept the Lady Jackets healthy which allowed them to have a season full of firsts and full of success.

Following an impressive semifinal win over No. 2 Findlay Friday night, the No. 6 Cedarville Yellow Jackets’ season ended with a disappointing 77-59 loss to Malone in the 2020-2021 G-MAC championship.

The No. 6 Cedarville Yellow Jackets’ used a strong offensive outing and a couple key defensive stops to defeat No. 2 Findlay 76-73 in a hard-fought semifinal. The victory punches Cedarville’s ticket to the 2020-2021 G-MAC men’s championship, which will be the team's first appearance in the title game since 2013.

The No. 1 seed Lady Jackets (19-4) took down No. 8 Malone (9-12) in the first round of the G-MAC tournament 70-55 and now head to the semifinals this Friday. This was the third time the two teams had met this season, with Cedarville taking all three meetings.

The Cedarville Lady Jackets’ pulled off an impressive road victory Saturday afternoon, defeating Hillsdale 92-72 to clinch the 2020-2021 G-MAC regular season title. With the win, the Jackets’ finish the regular season 18-4 and head into the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed in the G-MAC.
