Jackets Grind Out Victory Over Wilberforce

The Cedarville men’s basketball team recovered from a sluggish first half to pull away for an 83-62 win against non-conference opponent Wilberforce Saturday night.
The Yellow Jackets improve to 14-10 overall on the season with the victory.
In a choppy game that ended with 45 total fouls called between the two teams, senior Quinton Green paced the Cedarville offense, finishing the night with 27 points, including going 16-19 from the free-throw line.

Cedarville Battles For Win over Trevecca

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (6-1, 3-0 G-MAC) fought off the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans 79-65 on Thursday night. While Cedarville won the game handily, the Lady Jackets failed to dominate against a one-win team.
"We knew it was gonna be scrappy, that's how Trevecca plays," head coach Kari Hoffman said after the game. "Give credit to them, we played a little bit too hurried at times."

Cedarville Lady Jackets Victorious in Home Opener

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (2-1) won their first home game of the season on Thursday night, defeating the Wilberforce Bulldogs 62-52 in a non-conference bout.
Sophomore guard Ashlyn Huffman stepped up for the Lady Jackets with a team-high 17 points and six assists. She also wrangled five rebounds. While Huffman experienced struggles during preparation for the game, she said her demeanor tonight was what allowed her to step up for Cedarville.

Higher Standards Draw Bennett
The Cedarville women’s basketball team added a new face to the starting lineup this season. Sophomore transfer student Baylee Bennett joined the team this season and became the starting point guard after Abby Wolford went down with an injury.
“When we heard that she’d be interested in transferring, we were really excited about bringing her onto our squad,” said Kari Hoffman, Cedarville’s women’s basketball coach.
