ROTC Cadet meets Chief of Staff of U.S. Army in South Korea

Senior Matthew Macklenar traveled to South Korea over the summer as part of the Army ROTC Cadet Troop Leadership Training (CTLT). While there, he met the Army Chief of Staff.
CTLT is a selective three to four week training program exclusive to Army ROTC cadets. The purpose is to put cadets in leadership positions at active duty units. While there, they shadow the person in charge to prepare them for when they are commissioned.

CU wins local Ranger Challenge, heads to Fort Knox for Nationals

The Army is all about pushing one’s limits, and on Saturday, Oct. 21, Cedarville’s cadets had the opportunity to do so as they competed in the Ranger Challenge at Central State University.
Cedarville came out on top, winning in all but one of the challenges against Wright State and the University of Dayton.
Due to their success, the team will go on to compete in Fort Knox, Kentucky on Nov. 3 to Nov. 5 against 18 other top schools.

ROTC Cadets Trained Over Summer
During the summer, several Army ROTC cadets from Cedarville University participated in training opportunities as well as cultural immersion and teaching.
Cadets received slots to attend Airborne School, Air Assault School, a Culture Understanding and Language Proficiency Program (CULP), Cadet Troop Leader Training (CTLT), a Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) and a Leader’s Training Course (LTC). One cadet also cross-trained with cadets from West Point.
