G-MAC Postpones 2020 Soccer and Volleyball Seasons

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) made the decision Monday morning to postpone the 2020 football, men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was made based on the level of contact in given sports, as those that were postponed are considered high-contact. Other sports such as cross country, golf and tennis will be permitted to proceed as scheduled this fall. The implications the announcement will have on ...
Ruhlman and Niemiec Compete in U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials

Cedarville alumni Joe Niemiec and Katie Ruhlman competed in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials on Feb. 29 in Atlanta, Georgia. Only the top three men and women qualified for this summer's Olympics in Tokyo, and neither alum qualified. However, they both put up impressive performances.
The weather added some difficulty to the course. Though temperatures were in the upper 40s, winds got up to 20 mph.

Most people participating in the Olympic trials have been pursuing such a dream since childhood.
For marathoners Katie (Lanphier) Ruhlman and Joe Niemiec, the dream is a recent one. These Cedarville alumni both qualified for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials at the Chevron Houston Marathon on Jan. 19.

Oilers Spoil Senior Night For Cedarville

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (19-7, 12-5 G-MAC) suffered a second heartbreaking loss to Findlay (16-11, 12-5 G-MAC) 64-56 on Wednesday night which was Senior Night for the seniors. In the two team’s last meeting this season, Cedarville fell just 70-67.
The result moved Findlay up to fourth in the G-MAC standings, while Cedarville remains at third.

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (15-5, 8-3 G-MAC) played a fun game of basketball Thursday evening when they took down the Trevecca Trojans (7-13, 4-7 G-MAC) 77-41, ending their four-game winning streak. The Jackets are now on a four-game win streak; 9-0 at home in the midst of a five-game homestand.
