Faculty and students work together to keep Cedarville’s grounds beautiful

The Grounds department at Cedarville University works tirelessly to maintain the landscapes on campus. It employs four full-time staff and a varying number of student workers throughout the year. Each full-time staff member leads a specialized work crew: Paul Ware oversees beautification, Steve Prether is in charge of fertilizing lawns, Evan Brown oversees hard landscape, and Jeff Volbert manages weed trimming.

Chucksgiving brings students together to celebrate before they disperse for break

The line for Chucks stretched past the information desk in the Student Center on Thursday, November 17 as students waited with their friends for Chucksgiving. Chucks was filled with extra tables, people and food as Cedarville celebrated their version of Thanksgiving before the students left for break. One Thousand Days Transformed: A Year Later

One year ago, during Homecoming 2021, Cedarville University announced a campaign of historic proportions. This campaign, called “One Thousand Days Transformed,” would require $125 million. The official campaign brochure names four areas they hoped to address in the coming years. Cedarville’s retiree luncheon celebrates and brings together retired staff to honor their dedication to the university

Cedarville University hosts a monthly retiree luncheon, Reconnect, for retired faculty and staff on the first Tuesday of every month. The most recent luncheon was held on Nov. 1, 2022 in the Stevens Student Center event rooms with around 65 retired staff in attendance.
