Jackets Drop Season Opener
Despite an impressive performance by freshman forward Kwenton Scott, the Yellow Jackets opened up the season with an 88-71 loss to the visiting Lewis University Flyers.
The Jackets got off to a fast start to their first game of the Don Callan Classic. Scott scored eight of the team’s first 12 points, making all four of his shots. They took a 16-10 lead seven minutes into the game. This would be their largest lead, however, as the Flyers went on a 22-8 run to go up, 32-24.

Raising the Roof at the Indian Mounds
The Greene County Parks & Trails have been working to restore a cabin on Route 42 near the Indian Mounds Reserve in Cedarville since fundraising for the project began four years ago. The restored cabin, which is estimated to be about 200 years old, will be used for educational purposes.
Gretchen Rives, the public relations manager of Green County Parks & Trials, said the type of educational programs that will be held at the cabin will be similar to programs done previously.

Main Street Station, a restaurant located on South Main Street in Cedarville, may be known best for its home-cooked meals and community atmosphere.
“There are no other home cooked meals in town whatsoever,” Dick Sleigh, current owner of the restaurant said.
Main Street Station was started by Wilma Miller 17 years ago.

Men’s Soccer Team Three-peats
The Cedarville men’s soccer team won the G-MAC tournament Saturday for the third straight year, defeating Alderson Broaddus University 1-1, (4-2).
Cedarville tied the game with less than 20 minutes left. No goals would be scored for the rest of regulation and the two overtime periods. The game, and the conference tournament championship, went into penalty kicks.
