The Cedarville men’s basketball team lost their second leg of the Don Callan Classic 80-70 to Purdue Northwest. Both the Jackets and the Lions finished the Don Classic 1-1, and Cedarville moved to an even 3-3 on the year. Sophomore guard Ethan Sellars scored a career high 23 points on 7/12 shooting in the loss, and point guard Chris Rogers tallied 17. The Cedarville men’s basketball team bested Southwest Baptist 85-64 via a second half scoring frenzy in front of a packed crowd for the home opener. The teams entered the locker room tied at halftime 33-33, but Cedarville won the second half 52-31. Senior Jayvon Maughmer led the way for the Yellow Jackets scoring 22 points on 8/10 shooting, and snagging eight rebounds. Pumpkins with a Purpose

Cedarville University's Student Government Association held a fall event this past Wednesday. Grace Muresan hosted the event and organized this opportunity for students to encourage one another by writing them a small note attached to a pumpkin. Film Students Create an Award-Winning Short Film in 48 Hours 

Imagine creating, filming, and editing an entire short film in 48 hours. Well, a group of Cedarville Film Students came together to attempt this challenge. To do this, they signed up for the 48-hour film project, which is an international film festival. Cedarville won in four sets on Thursday night, leveling the Jackets’ G-MAC record at 5-5, while Kentucky Wesleyan dropped to 4-17 (2-8). The Yellow Jackets narrowly won the first set, then dropped the second, but stormed back to capture the final two sets 25-10 and 25-16.
