SAAC Strives to Serve Community and Athletes

The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is comprised of two players from each varsity sport at Cedarville University. The committee’s 26 members communicate, with one voice, to the university, as well as to the NCAA and community members.
Since the organization’s inception, it’s grown to take on new challenges and initiatives in order to better the lives of student-athletes themselves, as well as make an impact in the lives of those who are less fortunate.

Huge Second Half Leads Cedarville to Fifth Straight Win

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets used a 14-0 run in the second half to take control and ultimately beat Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon, winning 82-63. The win allows Cedarville to continue to fight for top positioning in the G-MAC with a 13-8 record overall and an impressive 9-3 mark in the conference.

Impressive Fourth Quarter Takes Lady Jackets to Fifth Straight Win

A late 18-point run took the Lady Jackets (16-5, 9-3 G-MAC) to 74-57 Saturday afternoon after playing neck-and-neck with Alderson Broaddus (6-15, 3-9 G-MAC) for the first three quarters. The Jackets remain in fourth place in the G-MAC with the win.

Basketball is said to be a game of runs. The Cedarville Yellow Jackets kindly disregarded this rule in a 93-67 deconstruction of Trevecca on Thursday night. Cedarville never trailed in the win and held a lead for all but the first 55 seconds of the contest.

Lady Jackets Remain Undefeated at Home With Pounding of Trevecca

The Cedarville Lady Jackets (15-5, 8-3 G-MAC) played a fun game of basketball Thursday evening when they took down the Trevecca Trojans (7-13, 4-7 G-MAC) 77-41, ending their four-game winning streak. The Jackets are now on a four-game win streak; 9-0 at home in the midst of a five-game homestand.

The Cedarville Yellow Jackets began a five-game homestand with a 97-76 beatdown of Ohio Valley on Saturday afternoon. Six Yellow Jackets reached double figures as Cedarville improved to 11-8 and 7-3 in the G-MAC.

Sometimes, you just get homesick. After losing two straight road games, the Cedarville Yellow Jackets returned to the comfort of the Callan Athletic Center to pick up an 86-63 win over Tiffin on Thursday night.

After a long week on the road, the Cedarville Lady Jackets seemed comfortable back at home Thursday evening for a G-MAC matchup against the Tiffin University Dragons. The Jackets handled the Dragons fairly easily, defeating them 87-72. They move to 12-5, 5-3 G-MAC, after the well-rounded victory.
