New women’s soccer coach has lofty goals
There’s a new face on the sidelines for Cedarville women’s soccer this season. Following the retirement of John McGillivray, new head coach Jonathan Meade is ready to assume the role and take the program to even higher heights.
Meade comes to Cedarville after an eight-year stint as the head coach at Ohio Dominican University, where he led the Panthers to a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship and an NCAA national tournament berth last season.

On a rainy senior night on Tuesday, the Jackets graduated eight seniors and won 4-3 against the Mercyhurst Lakers in the first overtime.
The game started with a Cedarville goal in the first five minutes from Sebastian Duque, but the goal was answered two minutes later by Mercyhurst. Almost every student at Cedarville University recognizes junior track star Carsyn Koch as a record-breaking athlete who went to the United States Olympic Trials this summer.
Koch set a school record in the 800 meters almost every time she ran last season. She beat the Olympic trial qualifying time of 2:03 back in May, finishing the 800 in 2:02.39. Lady Jackets Earn Homecoming Victory
The Lady Jackets got a much-needed victory on homecoming Saturday, defeating conference-opponent Ohio Valley 1-0. All three of the Jackets victories this season have been 1-0.

The Yellow Jackets lost a tough game on homecoming Saturday to the Fighting Scots from Ohio Valley 1-0.
The Fighting Scots only goal of the game came off a penalty kick in the 73rd minute of the game on a hand ball in the penalty area.

Lady Jackets Take Home Opener
The Lady Jackets won their home opener against Findlay Tuesday night by a score of 3-1. Findlay took the first set, 25-23, and Cedarville took the last three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-14, and 25-23. It is Cedarville’s ninth straight victory, improving their overall record to 9-2.

CU Jackets Volleyball Home Opener
The Lady Jackets emerge victorious against the University of Findlay at CU's annual Volleyball Home Opener on Tuesday, Sept. Â 20. This event is one of the biggest volleyball events in NCAA DII, said Doug Walters, head coach of the women's volleyball team, and the entire student body was encouraged to attend.
The first 1,000 to attend were given a free T-shirt at the end of the event.

Jackets tie 1-1 after 2OT
Cedarville Men’s Soccer tied Trevecca in a conference matchup for their home opener Thursday night 1-1 after double overtime. The teams faced off during constant rain and the wet conditions that forced each team to play more physical and defensive.
