Cedarville Professors Share Their Resolutions for the New Year

By Alex Hentschel Though we often think of professors as the wisest and most mature people we know, they are humans who need to grow and learn too. We asked which professors you would like to hear from, and they responded with some of their hopes and wishes for the new year. Hopefully these can inspire conversations (and follow-ups) with them this semester. All photos provided by Cedarville University “I normally do not have any New Year’s resolutions. However, I have found ...

Just Sayin’ – Mourning and Dancing: Reflections on my Last Semester

By Alex Hentschel I had a sudden realization as I headed to my capstone research course on Tuesday morning: This is it, my last semester of undergrad. As anxious as I am for the new season of my life to begin, it caused some hard reflection as I realized that my time as a bachelor student — who isn’t expected to have everything, or rather, anything, figured out — is coming to a rapid close. Before I know it, I’ll be packing up our small house and leaving this tiny town, maybe forever. ...

By Abigail HintzThe Lady Jackets (14-3, 7-3 G-MAC) began their four-game G-MAC homestand on Saturday night with a 78-52 win over the Ohio Valley Fighting Scots (2-13, 1-10 G-MAC). Head coach Kari Hoffman said, “We knew it would be a tough game. [Ohio Valley has] been in so many games that they’ve played in. They haven’t been on the winning side of many of them, but we knew they’d come in here and give us a good game and they did that. I was really pleased just with the overall team ...

Chapman Leads Lady Jackets to Big Win Over Tiffin

By Abigail Hintz After a long week on the road, the Cedarville Lady Jackets seemed comfortable back at home Thursday evening for a G-MAC matchup against the Tiffin University Dragons. The Jackets handled the Dragons fairly easily, defeating them 87-72. They move to 12-5, 5-3 G-MAC, after the well-rounded victory. The Jackets’ defense forced the Dragons to push the shot clock frequently. The Dragons responded with a high press, but Cedarville was able to break it down and have an impress...

If you stopped by Chuck’s there was live music, karaoke, breakfast at midnight, and of course, train rides.

Check out these behind the scenes shots of the setup and the final view of what Cedarville students get to enjoy from now until the end of the semester. Freshman Worship Major Writes from the Heart

Noah Ayers hopes to impact others with his music By Madeleine Mosher Noah Ayers loved music even before he was born. As an unborn baby, Ayers would kick in rhythm with the drumbeats in the music at his family’s church. After he was born, Ayers said he wouldn’t fall asleep until his parents played rock music for him. “It’s just always been in my veins,” he said. It’s no surprise, then, that now, as a freshman Worship and Broadcasting double-major at Cedarville, he’s ...
