Album Review: ‘Empire’
Christian rapper Derek Minor released his album “Empire” Jan. 27, and it’s the first album he’s released since taking over his own recording company last year.
Minor signed with Lecrae’s record label, Reach Records, in 2011, but left the label in 2014 to begin his own recording company, Reflection Music Group (RMG).

Cedarville Falls to Central State
On a crowded night in the Callan Athletic Center, Cedarville saw its three-game winning streak come to an end, losing to Central State University 95-85.
An entertaining half highlighted by blistering three-point shooting and numerous transition buckets saw Central State go into the locker room up one, 43-42. Taylor Swift pulled all of her albums from Spotify in November, and the albums still have not returned. Swift said in an interview with Time magazine and a July op-ed she believes music is art and should be treated as such.

Christian Camps Challenge and Change College Students
New students can quickly recognize common fashion choices among the students of Cedarville University. Some of these items are oversized sweaters and TOMS shoes. Another popular item seems to be a kelly-green sweatshirt featuring a series of three arrows stacked to look like an evergreen tree, the logo of Lake Ann Camp in Lake Ann, Mich.

Nine in a Row: Lady Jackets Roll On
The Cedarville Lady Jackets used a strong second half to pull away from conference rival Central State University and win their ninth straight game, 89-62.
The Marauders provided an early challenge for a team that had won its previous three games by an average of 39 points. Review: ‘Fiddler on the Roof’
Cedarville’s “Fiddler on the Roof” resonated well with the majority of the crowd as opening night ended with a standing ovation.
The show begins outside of Tevye’s home in Anatevka, and the audience is introduced to the fiddler on the roof. Tevye sets up the play with this metaphor: “But here, in our little village of Anatevka, you might say every one of us is a fiddler on the roof trying to scratch out a pleasant, simple tune without breaking his neck.”
