Student Spotlight – Calvin Hitchcock: Composer
Music has the ability to bring a story or a concept to life, and that is what sophomore composition major Calvin Hitchcock said he seeks to do in his work.
“I work conceptually, so I really like to have an idea of either a story or concept behind what I am doing,” Hitchcock said.
Calvin’s advisor and piano teacher, Charles Clevenger, said one of the more prominent characteristics of Hitchcock’s work is the emotion.

HeartSong Releases New Album
Cedarville’s student worship group HeartSong will release a new album at 11 a.m. on April 16. The album, titled “Hallelujah,” covers 11 contemporary Christian songs recreated by HeartSong members. Junior Aleska Barkoviak, a vocalist for the group, said the album is centered on the gospel and will be available and relevant to everyone.

STP Preview: ‘Story of My Life’
Senior theatre major Adam Silorey’s Senior Theatre Project (STP) “Story of My Life,” which premieres tomorrow night, tells the story of friendship.
“It has nothing to do with One Direction,” Silorey said.
Silorey will perform the musical Friday at 8 p.m. in the Alford Auditorium, and admission is free. “Story of My Life” is a musical about an author, Thomas (played by junior David Widder-Varhegyi), who’s writing a eulogy for his friend, Alvin (played by Silorey).

Cedarville’s a cappella group The Inversions will release their second album, “All Along,” April 7, which reflects how the group’s grown since its birth four years ago.
