Purity and Redemption

Purity: the word may make you squirm. Physical purity, modesty and the like are emphasized at a young age, perhaps more so for tween and teen girls than for boys. But in a Christian community such as Cedarville University, the purity conversations must not be avoided, said Tara Winter, org adviser for Sanctify Ministries. “The purity conversation you had when you were 12 or 13 looks a lot different when you are 19 or 20,” said Winter, the licensure, testing and accreditation coordinator ...

For three decades, Cedarville University’s School of Nursing has strived to educate nurses to use their ministry for Christ. Karen Callan, director of nursing laboratory programs and facilities, was one of the first 30 students enrolled in the program in 1985. “It was a big deal,” Callan said. “We were the guinea pigs, but in a good way. It was awesome.” The vision and the mission Callan said the work of Irene Alyn, the first director of the nursing program, was instrumental ...

Carly Gregory, a senior athletic training major and president of ATSO, said the primary goal of Friday's event is to raise money to supply sling bags for an athletic trainer in the Middle East. “In a typical sling bag you’d have tape and scissors, and just your general first aid supplies,” Gregory said. Resound’s New Bounds

The world of radio broadcasting develops as technology develops, and Resound Radio – Cedarville University’s student-run radio station – is no different. The station can now be heard at ResoundRadio.com. Resound launched a new website and mobile application Aug. 14 said James Leightenheimer, ...

Same Game, New Court

After a few minutes of conversation, her genuine character and friendly personality start to shine. Fresh out of basketball practice, she comes across as gregarious and warm-hearted, towering over the student employee who hands over a burger and fries. From highschool to Division II McQueen said life at Cedarville University is a change from Gardner-Webb Univers...

Cedarville Makes Changes to Campus, Names Faculty to New Positions

So long, Cedar Spray. You no longer have to fear the deadly – or seemingly deadly – Cedar Spray. Grounds crews moved one of the two fountains this summer further into the lake and further from the usual course of the wind’s blow. This means you can look nice for that job interview or presentation and not bring the smell of Cedar Lake with you. Hooray! Bye-bye dorm vacuums. If you’re prone to eating crackers in bed, leaving a trail of crumbs or bringing mud in on your shoes, you ...

Cedarville Student Wins Big with Tech

Whether it’s submitting a homework assignment on Moodle or using CedarPrint to print out an essay, technology is a part of college life at Cedarville. But winning contests doesn't usually come with the deal. However, for junior Tim Huizinga, an IT management major, submitting his creative use for technology to Best Buy’s #BESTCOLLEGE Challenge left him a winner. “The #BESTCOLLEGE Challenge Contest was created to help students head back-to-school by asking other students to share ...

Clearwater Christian College’s closing in June left Clearwater students with a gap that Cedarville University is working to fill. “The closing caught everybody off guard,” said Karisa Linafelter, Cedarville’s associate registrar for academic advising and transfer services. "(Clearwater) students left campus (at the end of the semester) having absolutely no clue that this was going to happen." Clearwater announced the closing June 5, 2015, leaving Clearwater students with an ...
