Cedarville fell behind early, giving up a goal in the 11th minute off a deflected shot. The Cedarville women’s soccer team lost their first game of the season in conference play Thursday night, falling to Trevecca Nazarene University 2-0. Despite a 7-1 shots on goal advantage in the first half, Cedarville couldn’t capitalize and went into the halftime break tied 0-0. Cedarville’s women’s soccer team defended took advantage of home field tonight, defeating the Ashland Eagles 2-1 for their third win of the season.  The Eagles, ranked seventh in the Regional Coach’s Poll, were unbeaten in three matches heading into tonight’s game. In their home opener, the Cedarville women’s soccer team were shut out 3-0, by the Ohio Dominican University Panthers. Ohio Dominican struck quickly in the first half with a breakaway goal in the fourth minute. Cedarville had plenty of opportunities but couldn’t quite capitalize. The Lady Jackets swept Wednesday afternoon’s game against Oakland City 4-0 in the NCCAA Midwest Region Semi Final Game. The win puts Cedarville’s record at 15-6 and into the NCCAA Midwest Region Finals. The Lady Jackets played strong, scoring two goals in the first half.
