One Wheel Enough for Cedarville Unicycle Gang

Story by Abigail Hintz; Video by Ben Deeter Unicyclists and bicyclists don’t get along. That’s something I learned from the Unicycle Gang at Cedarville University. But unicyclists are cooler. Just ask Jake Fuhrer and the rest of the gang. When Fuhrer first met Matthew Peel, the leader and founder of the Unicycle Gang, Peel was riding a bicycle. Fuhrer mistook him for one of the many bicyclists who want to be “cool like we are.” “When you say, ‘Like we are’ ...

Welcome Home: Chapel Through The Pandemic

by Abigail Hintz Walking into the Jeremiah Chapel after over a year away was one of the coolest experiences of my life. I entered the doors to the familiar dim light, but the hum of the students was life giving. Everyone felt so much joy to be back, myself included. We watched as a video played reminiscing on how we had made it through the last year by God’s grace, and how after one whole year, we were home. As we were invited to worship with the band, tears were already in my eyes. ...

Richmond’s Passion Drives “CU Weather”

by Chris Karenbauer It was a Sunday afternoon when Ben Richmond discovered his new love. His brother had a jam session after church. So, the family stayed behind. The skies grew dark and the clouds heavy. The power inside the church went out. The calm before the storm. Suddenly, the wind blew so hard that leaves spun just outside the window, while trees fell from their place. Richmond placed a hand on the window. He felt the window vibrate under the pressure of the wind. It was a ...
